Description A reputable company with a Manganese Division requires the services of 2 (two) Section Engineers at their Mine Operations situated 80km North West of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. The successful candidates will report to the Engineering Manager, and will form part of the strategic management team on the mine.
Experience DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Ensuring compliance with all regulations with regards to mechanical equipment and electrical reticulations (as per 2.13.1 legal appointment; Operation and maintenance of electrical distribution and motor control equipment using the latest modern technology; Planning and scheduling of operations in accordance with demanding production requirements; Preparation and control of engineering budgets; The implementation of maintenance, adequate standards and company procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment on the mine; Cross-functional liaison with other disciplines;
QualificationsREQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Government Certificate of Competency; B.Sc Engineering Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical and / or Electrical Engineering; At least five years experience in a mining environment with requisite level of responsibility in the heavy engineering field; Thorough knowledge of 22kV – 11kV distribution overhead lines, cables, transformers, rotating machinery and LV process plant equipment; Sound working knowledge of Maintenance system; Proven managerial skills and computer literacy;
