Gold Project Ghana 9 weeks on 4 weeks off roster
Perseus Mining Limited has an established reputation as one of the worlds most successful gold explorers and has demonstrated a credible track record of resource growth. Focused on underdeveloped gold belts in West Africa, Perseus has significant deposits in Ghana and the Ivory Coast. The companys vision is to expand its gold resource base through rapid exploration of existing ground and the acquisition of prospective new projects, whilst developing the Central Ashanti Gold Project (formally referred to as the Ayanfuri Gold Project) over the next year. The project has resources of 2.1 million ounces of gold, plus 1.2Moz measured and indicated gold resources and 2.7Moz inferred gold resources. Construction has commenced and the company is on target to start production in the third quarter of 2011.
They now seek to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to the above senior role. Candidates should be tertiary qualified in a mechanical discipline, with a minimum of fifteen years relevant experience in mineral processing, crushing, grinding etc some of which will have been in a management capacity. Prior exposure in a start up operation in a developing country will be highly regarded, as will the ability to train and motivate maintenance personnel. Ideally candidates will have a sound knowledge of PRONTO and preventative maintenance systems. This role is on a 9 weeks on 4 weeks off fly in fly out roster and an attractive remuneration package will be negotiated.
