Plutonic Gold Mine is located approximately 1000km north-east of Perth and is one of Australia’s largest producer’s of gold. This position is fly in/fly out from Perth on a 8 days on 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Camp & Logistics Supervisor to join the Barrick team at Plutonic.
Camp & Logistics Supervisor
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Camp & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for applying and overseeing commercial systems to ensure that all commute transport and onsite accommodation is provided to an agreed standard.
Duties and responsibilities include:
* Apply, support and monitor transport, accommodation and contract management systems to ensure safe, suitable and cost effective transport and accommodation is provided for employees, contractors and visitors.
* Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities, formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods.
* Assist the Commercial Manager with implementation of change management initiatives and other business improvement projects.
* Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures and promote safety, health and environmental awareness.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Experience in the management of aircraft charter contracts and accommodation village management
* Demonstrated success as an effective leader in a customer focussed environment.
* High level understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in WA.
* Strong report writing and presentation skills
* Recognised tertiary qualifications in Business are advantageous but not essential
