Expressions of Interest-Community Liaison Professionals

QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer. We offer diverse and global career opportunities to talented individuals who will help our business to meet growing domestic and international demand for cleaner energy. QGC is establishing one of Australia’s largest capital infrastructure projects to turn our world-class reserves of coal seam gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG). Queensland Curtis LNG, a priority project for QGC, involves expanding our exploration and development in southern and central Queensland and transporting gas via a 380km buried pipeline to Curtis Island near Gladstone, where it will be liquefied. QGC operates the gas-fired Condamine Power Station, the world’s first combined-cycle power station to run entirely on coal seam gas.
Position Summary
The incumbents will report directly to the Social Performance Manager Gladstone, under the leadership of the General Manager Social Performance. Peers include other Grievance Management Coordinators and Community Liaison Officers in the SP team.
Key Accountabilities
1. Stakeholder Feedback Coordinator (Gladstone)
Coordinate the grievance management and stakeholder feedback process for our liquefied natural gas (midstream) project by documenting and tracking in-coming grievances and feedback. Working closely with management, you’ll ensure all grievances are quickly resolved in line with our standards. In addition, you’ll also coordinate the QGC Gladstone Community Consultation Committee.
2. Technical Support Coordinator (Gladstone)
Assist the Gladstone Social Performance Manager in the planning and delivery of project strategies and commitments under the QGC Social Performance Strategy and Social Impact Management Plan (SIMP). Key responsibilities include the delivery of social investments and partnerships, coordinating monitoring, reporting and budgeting and supporting stakeholder engagement activities as required.
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Superior communication, community relations management, analysis, problem solving, interpersonal and organisational skills are vital. The successful candidates will be personable, presentable and highly motivated and capable of working autonomously, maintaining confidentiality and multitasking. High levels of self motivation and a commitment to teamwork are also important. Solid experience in a community liaison role is a must. Similarly, experience with MS Office applications, a background in taking full responsibility for tasks and managing them to completion and broad understanding of our business and objectives are essential.
