Human Resources Manager
We are looking for a Human Resources Manager at our Intalco Operations in Ferndale, Washington. The plant is part of the Primary Metals business unit. This position will report to the Plant Manager.
The Human Resources Manager provides Human Resources strategic leadership at Intalco which include support of production, maintenance, engineering,and staff departments.
- provide career development and leadership for a wide range of hourly and salaried individuals
-day-to-day administration of Industrial Relations activities, training, development, employee relations, and salary and wage administration
- maintain a partnership with Alcoa and the labor union
- sustain Alcoa and the labor union’s common goal for a highly trained, flexible self-directed workforce where both parties will work to advance performance to creat an agile workforce
- interfacing with governmental entities including the EEOC, DOL, and compliance with all state, federal and corporate regulations including but not limited to ADA, FMLA, and wage and hour policies
- develop and administer effective recruitment and development
- lead workforce planning for short term and long range staffing
- provide leadership in the areas of compensation administration, learning and development and performance management activities for the location
- increase the employee engagement of the workforce and create the respect of Intalco as an employer of choice among the best talent in the area which in turn will lead to the operation achieving superior financial performance
- maintain positive and effective employee and industrial relations

Basic Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree
-Minimum of 6 years experience as working HR Manager in a manufacturing setting
-Industrial and employee relations, employment laws, training and development systems for employees, salary and wage administration
-Union/Management experience with collaboration skills
-Strong written and verbal communication interacting with all levels of the organization
-Proven change management and employee engagement; high energy and passion for people development
Preferred Qualifications -Knowledge of Washington State labor law and EEOC compliance
