Utilizing acceptable engineering principles and procedures, this position performs and assists the valuation of future reserves, obtains field information to help in the permitting process, assists in the development of new mines and provides engineering support to mine management for active company and contract mines. This position also aids in the development of projected closing costs and the monitoring of the actual costs for the reclamation of company and contract mines.
JOB SUMMARY:
* Facilitate/manage all types of engineering projects associated with mining, including productivity/efficiency studies
* Determine and initiate distribution of all end of the month reports
* Plan location of future mine sites
* Develop and monitor monthly and long range mine plans
* Plan core drilling projects
* Develop and provide information/data to assist in the preparing of annual budgets
* Monitor mineral, surface, etc. leases to maintain compliance and status
* Coordinate mine survey engineering activity– setting up spads, updating maps, etc.
* Coordinate locations of gas well sites with drilling companies
* Provide engineering support in the permitting process
* Design mining layouts, ventilations systems, water systems and roof support
* Develop and maintain mining plans for approval for regulatory agencies
