Description
International client has an immediate need for an Operations/Warranty Engineering Manager for a position in Nouakchott, Mauritania. This position will support the Plant Manager in the control of all aspects of power generation, power dispatch, and day to day plant supervision.
Responsibilities
Support the Plant Manager and his team in the operation and maintenance of the Power Plant
Provide training to the Plant Manager and his team in the operation and maintenance of the installed equipment
Contribute to the development of operation and maintenance best practices
Support the day to day operation of the power plant installation
Contribute to the effective implementation of planned operations and maintenance systems
Report to the Chief Technical Officer for safe and satisfactory installation and operation of the plant and for the achievement of agreed performance criteria
Requirements
Mechanical or Electrical power engineering or electrical utility background
High voltage and control & instrumentation knowledge.
High voltage certification is a plus
Degree, Higher National Diploma, or Higher National Certification.
Craft apprenticeship helpful
Power Plant operational and management experience.
Heavy Fuel Oil Power Plant experience preferred
Supervisory experience in a shift engineering environment with responsibility for Mechanical and Electrical staff
Experience living and working in developing countries
Must speak French
