Alternate Underground Mine Manager

Our Client is a world-renowned gold producing mining company with a large underground site in the Western Australian northern goldfields region.  They require an Alternate Underground Mine Manager for their owner / operator mine site, fly in fly out from Perth on an 8/6 roster.

Duties for this role will include:
Reporting to the Mining Manager;
Promote and participate in the development of site safety policies;
Fulfil statutory duties of Underground Manager;
Direct day-to-day control of underground mining activities;
Supervise and manage the underground mining department;
Ensure all underground mine plans, schedules and forecasts are kept current;
Carry out and direct project work and feasibility studies as required;
Compile periodic reports including forecasts, annual budgets and reserve statements;

Requirements for this role will include:
Previous experience in a similar role in underground metalliferous mining operations;
West Australian First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate;
Proven track record in safety, production, project management and team building;
Competent in Excel, Word and Access;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
FMI qualifications and experience with Vulcan will be beneficial;
Current Drivers Licence;
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screens;
Ability to provide 2-3 recent work references;
Ability to provide a police clearance;
