Section Engineer

Our client is looking to appoint a Mining Section Engineer.

Requirements

• A Higher National or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NQF 4/5) from an accredited tertiary institution.
• Government Certificate Of Competency (Mines & Works).

Skills Required:

• Medical Certificate of fitness.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Sound interpersonal relations.
• Practical experience in a technical supervisory capacity, preferably in the gold mining environment.
• Formal qualifications in Project Management will be advantageous.

Job Description:

• Business risk management from an engineering perspective.
• Safety risk management from an engineering perspective.
• Statutory Engineering compliance within operations.
• Critical spares management.
• Management and co-ordination – total mine.
• Planned maintenance co-ordination.
• The core work output of the role is to ensure the:
• Protection of assets through the effective use of standards.
• Effective support for projects.
• Administration of necessary systems.
• Support the overall business management.
