<p>They have an outstanding reputation in relation to their safety, performance and culture within the organisation and are now looking for a Senior Maintenance Supervisor to join their team<br />
.</p>
<p><strong>Role</strong></p>
<p>Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent the role of the Senior Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure all works conducted within the Maintenance Department are supervised appropriately and completed in a safe and efficient manner, taking into account the mines Safety &amp; Health Management System, legislative requirements, internal policies and procedures and industry best practice guidelines.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Oversee the planning, organising and supervision of all maintenance activities to ensure departmental objectives are met.</li>
<li> Implement the maintenance plan and drive employees to comply with expectations.</li>
<li> Monitor rosters for employees within the department and approve hours worked / time sheets.</li>
<li> Follow up on work generated from services and inspections to ensure parts are ordered and the impending works are input into the maintenance plan.</li>
<li> Work in conjunction with the Maintenance Planner and Superintendent to produce detailed plans for major shutdown work.</li>
<li> Contribute to the 3 monthly plan as directed by Maintenance Superintendent.</li>
<li> Identify and implement cost efficiency initiatives where possible.</li>
<li> Assist Maintenance Superintendent in the construction of maintenance budget/s.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills and experience;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Experience in supervising a team at a senior level</li>
<li> Apply Risk Management Processes.</li>
<li> Conduct Safety &amp; Health Investigations.</li>
<li> Communicate Information.</li>
<li> Implement &amp; Maintain Risk Management Processes.</li>
<li> Applicable Coal Competencies.</li>
<li> Senior First Aid Certificate or Higher.</li>
<li> Generic Surface Induction.</li>
<li> QLD Coal Board Medical.</li>

<p><strong>Work Description</strong></p>

<li> The Project Manager is responsible for providing a dedicated project management service to the Group to support major capital expansion projects.</li>
<li> The role operates with a time-frame of normally 3 to 5 years with certain projects on the 5 to 10 year horizon.</li>
<li> The role is the operational management of all activities in the setting up and establishment of the new / expanded facilities to cater for the group’s expansion programmes.</li>
<li> The role is a general project management and coordinating role.</li>
<li> It deals with every aspect of setting up the project such as infrastructure design and implementation, organisation design and resourcing of the operations, logistics relating to men and materials movement and accommodation etc.</li>
<li> Specifically the role includes initiating, controlling, commissioning, hand over and closeout of all project activities in line with the design and performance specifications as well as the project plans.</li>
<li> The Project Manager deals with the day to day running of the project activities and personnel.</li>
<li> This includes planning and resourcing all aspects of the project program.</li>
<li> It also includes managing and coordinating all subcontractors / vendors as well as direct liaison with consulting engineers and other relevant stakeholders on project delivery and progress against plan and standards.</li>
<li> The role includes liaison with stakeholders on all aspects of the projects from safety, project budgets and plans, location and logistical issues, design and layouts, tender preparation and adjudication, construction programme management etc.</li>
<li> In effect the role acts as the direct line manager for the entire major project with all site personnel and other associated suppliers, EPCM consultants and vendors reporting into the position.</li>
<li> The role is responsible for the operational delivery of the project (from inception to handover to the operations).</li>
<li> Provision of technical solutions and advice</li>
<li> Setting technical, employee and project performance standards from project guidelines</li>
<li> Changing plans and schedules to minimise the effect of unexpected problems</li>

<strong>Job Specification</strong><br />
<strong>Purpose of the Job:</strong></p>
<p>To supervise all Civil contractors on site in order to ensure that agreed deliverables, according to pre-determined quality standards; cost and time frames are met.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities and Tasks:</strong><br />
<strong>Contractor Management:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Ensure that contractor activities are within scope of work and according to project safety, environmental and quality requirements</li>
<li> Supervise and control deviances/ anomalies as per Anglo policy and procedure</li>
<li> Issue NEC documents (PMI, early warnings) as appropriate and within agreed time frames</li>
<li> Inspect all work areas and activities of surface Civil contractors</li>
<li> Assist the Civil Engineers in managing the schedule (time), cost (QS measurement), quality and scope on all Civil contracts on the project</li>
<li> Receive and issue drawings to contractors within agreed time frames</li>
<li> Resolve contractor queries/ concerns/ grievances timeously – includes early warnings</li>
<li> Monitor progress to plan – liaise with contractor and site planner</li>
<li> Initiate punch lists and coordinate completion of punch list items</li>
<li> Coordinate updating of as-built drawings Safety Adherence:</li>
<li> Ensure Anglo safety standards and procedures are known and understood</li>
<li> Monitor adherence to safety policy and resolve potential threats</li>
<li> Communicate new information relating to safety to contractors timeously</li>
<li> Check and sign off Risk Assessments</li>
<li> Assist the Safety Officer in safe matters, investigations and sending safety flashes, safety topics, etc. to contractors</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Documentation Maintenance:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Ensure that files exist for each contractor</li>
<li> Ensure that information requirements are met 100%</li>
<li> Ensure timeous filing of all relevant documentation</li>
<li> Coordinate handling and safe keeping of site documentation (operating and maintenance manuals), drawings and spares (critical and operating) until handover to the client</li>
<li> Update progress on plans for progress meetings within agreed deadlines</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Communication:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Liaise with Project Civil Engineers, Site Manager and Supervisors of other Disciplines to ensure effective co-ordination and communication of daily activities</li>
<li> Attend and participate in weekly Mine Safety Meeting – currently every Tuesday</li>
<li> Attend and participate in morning meetings with Construction Manager 3 x per week (and additional as and when required)</li>
<li> Attend Sunday Labour Meeting when on duty @ 12h00</li>
<li> Attend and participate in Safety meeting on 1st Thursday of each month</li>
<li> Attend progress meetings every 2nd week</li>
<li> Conduct Project Specific Site Induction for all Contracts</li>

Our Perth office is currently seeking a Senior or Principal Mining  Engineer &#8211; Corporate with the following skills and <strong>qualifications: </strong></p>
<p><strong>Specialist skills required:</strong><br />
An ability to foster and manage small teams of technical professionals and experience in the area of project management.<br />
Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders  including management, technical professionals and operational personnel  at a senior level.<br />
Strong capability and experience with mine planning and mine operations.<br />
Experience in the area of due diligence or project valuation would be well regarded but is not essential.<br />
An ability to write clear and concise technical reports.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications required:</strong><br />
Degree in Mining Engineering.</p>
<p>Approximately 10 years experience in the mining industry, including technical or operational roles.<br />
Membership of, or eligibility to become a member of, an industry recognised professional organisation.<br />
